Introducing Ethical Concepts and Ethical Associations that govern counseling and psychotherapy

In this session we will begin covering Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy through the lens of the classic schools of Ellis and Beck and integrate a few CBT activities

In this session students can choose from a variety of videos and respond to the activity question on NEO.

In this section we will begin with the basics of bodywork, somatic focused approaches and trauma informed care that combines talk therapy with body work and mindfulness.

Midterm Assessment combining the work covered

In this section we will practice group therapy and the dynamics of leading a successful group session.

In this session we will focus on externalization for the therapeutic context such as externalizing one's struggles conceptualizing and conversing with the external entities. We will look at some basic projective tests and art therapy.

In this session we will be covering therapeutic schools that focus on specific disorders, such as ADHD specific treatments, eating disorders and personality disorder focused therapies (DBT, schema).
