5. Gender and citizenship
Oct 1, QUIZ I due 30.9.
Description: Targeted exploration of how gender identity shapes the experiences and rights of individuals as citizens in society; the intersectional nature of gender and its influence on citizenship. Reading: Waylen – p.731-756. Assignments/deadlines: Student presentation 2.; OUIZ I (Week 1-4). Quiz will consist of 10 multiple choice or true-false questions and will be timed (15 minutes). It will be open for 24 hours on 30.9.2025 from 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CET/Prague time. Please note that quarterly quizzes will be open 24hrs before class in each respective week. The quiz will be based on the lecturer's presentations and the course readings. Quizzes can only be taken once, and subsequent corrections are not possible. |

8. Midterm exam
Oct 22, NEO online, home-based test from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Description: NEO online test. Reading: Readings from Week 1 to Week 7 inclusive. Assignments/deadlines: Review all material from Week 1 to 7. The mid-term exam will assess students' progress in the first half of the course – covering material from weeks 1 to 7 inclusive. The midterm exam will be an online test that combines multiple choice and true/false questions. There will be 30 questions for a maximum of 30 minutes. Students should demonstrate a good understanding of the most important problems and concepts and should be able to provide quick and correct answers. The test will be home-based, online, and will take place during the first-class hour of Session 8 (22 October 2025), i.e., between 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. |

Description: NEO online test. Reading: All readings. Assignments/deadlines: Review material from the whole semester. The final exam will be comprehensive, and students will be responsible for all topics covered, including student presentations and assigned literature (with an emphasis on Semester 2). The final exam will be an online test combining multiple choice and true/false questions. There will be 30 questions for a maximum of 30 minutes. Students should demonstrate a good understanding of the most important problems and concepts and should be able to provide quick and correct answers. The test will be home-based, online, and will take place during the first-class hour of Session 14 (10 Dec 2025), i.e., between 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. |
